Talk to us
We are an independent agency, representing several insurance companies that want to compete for your business. Let us do the shopping for you. We can almost certainly save you money. At the time of a loss, we represent your interests, not those of the insurance company. You can count on us to work with you for a fast, fair claim settlement.
Carry a higher deductible
Select an appropriate deductible. The higher the deductible you select to self-insure, the lower your premium will be. By increasing your deductible, you can save 5%, 10% or more.
Don't guess at coverage
The cost of rebuilding your home or business might exceed your estimate. Consult your agent to determine how much you need to rebuild or replace your possessions or business contents. If you do not insure for replacement cost coverage, you will be paid only the actual cash value. There are limits for special items such as art, furs, antiques and collectibles. These items should be scheduled for their actual worth.
Invest in an Inexpensive Package of Options
Your business may need some additional insurance to handle things such as spoilage of perishable items or computer equipment. Buying a package of options is more cost effective than buying individual coverages.
Invest in Protective Devices
Adding a sprinkler system, burglar or fire alarms to your business premises not only protects your property from loss, but will save you money on your insurance costs. For Homeowners, ask about discounts for smoke alarms, fire extinguishers and dead-bolt locks. For Auto owners, ask about discounts for Air Bags, Anti-Lock Brakes, theft alarms and other protective devices.
Consider Excess Liability Coverage
Don't take basic liability for granted. Excess Liability, sometimes referred to as an Umbrella, is an economical coverage. It can provide an extra layer of coverage for large settlements against you.
Maintain Good Records
Keeping up to date records of your business property ensures that you will be able to accurately value your business property so that you are not over or under insured.
Prevent Losses
The use of a sound loss prevention program including a safe working environment, safety procedures and training employees will help reduce injuries, risk of loss and lower your insurance premium.
Utilize Direct Bill Options
Direct Bill Options allow you to spread your insurance costs over a period of time giving you more flexibility and increases your cash flow.
Comprehensive, Towing & Rental Reimbursement
Without these coverages, you may suffer an uninsured loss to your auto. Ask us about adding these coverages.
Defensive Driver Course
Save 10% on your Liability and Collision coverages by taking the National Defensive Driver Course available at most local colleges, high schools and senior citizen centers. This credit is for a three year period and can reduce points on your drivers license as well.
Driver Training Credit
A 15% credit can be given on your auto policy for new, young drivers if they take an approved driver training course.
Other Auto Credits
Vehicles with ABS brakes, daytime running lights, airbags and theft alarms may qualify for credits on your auto policy.
Homeowners Credits
Smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, dead bolt locks and non-smoker credits may be available for your homeowners policy.
